Turns out teal carpet is good for hiding fancy floor tiles, false low ceilings are good for hiding much taller ceilings, and burgundy wall paper is not so good at hiding damp. 

Weekend highlights included bacon sandwiches at Wiiiiickes (not a patch on sausage sizzles at Bunnings, but appreciated) and discovering the power of painting everything white.
